Run Every Street in Superior

Inspired by Rickey Gates who ran every street in San Francisco, I decided to try the same thing in my home town of Superior, Colorado. The population of Superior is about 13,000, similar in size to the town I grew up in Massachusetts.

While it's easy to write off our suburban town as one big HOA with identical houses, I found all sorts of interesting things on my runs like beautiful messages left on the sidewalks, hidden junk yards, beautiful old houses in Old Town Superior, ambitious artwork, quiet parks and playgrounds I never knew existed, a boating dock and a beach (there's a beach in Superior?), historic mining equipment, an outdoor jail cell, and rattlesnake skins. What a cool experience to get to know your town better!

When all the streets were run, I had completed 88 miles. To put a cherry on top, Rickey Gates (the person who inspired this project in the first place) reached out to congratulate me.
