Fishing with my Dad

My Grandpa passed away last Friday. I left Colorado to join my Dad in the Catskill Mountains in New York at the funeral on Monday. While it was a sad occasion, I felt very lucky that I got to spend the second half of Monday fishing with my Dad.
We talked about my Grandpa and his life and enjoyed the beautiful mountains. I only managed to lose one of my Dad’s flies (better than usual) and my Dad almost caught a nice sized small-mouthed bass. I’ve been thinking about fathers and sons over the past week and consider this the most meaningful of Father’s Days I’ve had.
Thanks Dad.
